You and family's rights information will be easily available to you so that you and all staff understand the Health and Disability Commissioner's Code of Rights and the importance of them.

  • Waiora Health Care PHO will treat all consumers of our services equally and with a strong sense of empathy, dignity and regard to individual rights needs and wishes without discriminating against :

    • ethical belief (lack of religious belief)
    • ethnic or national origins
    • family status
    • marital status
    • political opinion
    • race
    • religious belief
    • sex (includes childbirth and pregnancy)
    • Sexual orientation.

Procedure

  • The Code is monitored through the implementation of consumer satisfaction surveys.
