Walk in Policy

At Waitakere Union Health Centre, we are here to help. We aim to see everyone at times which are appropriate for our clients’ busy lifestyles and health needs. Our busy times are between 8.30 and 10.30 and between 2 and 3.30. Waiting times may be longer during these periods.

If you are concerned about waiting times, please see reception, or feel free to ring before coming in – we will let you know how long the wait is likely to be. Our doctors and nurses respond quickly to emergencies, and this may cause delays in our system – we will let you know if this occurs while you are waiting.

Some clients have urgent health needs – these patients have been placed in a priority system and will be seen ahead of others. If you have stable medical problems, you may be able to request a prescription through our nurses, but please give at least 24 hours notice.
